Dr. López-Abente, born in Madrid (1990), carried out the M.Sc. Infection & Immunity at University College of London (UCL), UK (2014). Shorty afterwards, he joined the Laboratory of Immune-Regulation at the Gregorio Marañón Health Research Institute (IISGM), where he pursued his thesis in transplant immune tolerance and cellular immunotherapy. He obtained his PhD degree in Molecular Biosciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) in December 2017. He joined Dr. Palomares group at UCM in April 2018 to study the immune-regulatory properties of anti-IgE in allergic diseases. His research interest focus on the modulation of the adaptive immune response, especially on the context of Treg and Breg cells.
